The Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1 that released in December last year is still going strong. Despite facing competition on its release the film managed to hold its own and even emerge as the strongest contender at the box office. Now weeks after its release on OTT streaming platform, Pushpa still continues to draw in the audience to theatres.
In fact, in its 8th week running Pushpa: The Rise has seen a further Rs. 3.25 cr coming in. Thanks to this the total box office collections of Pushpa are inching closer to the Rs. 110 cr mark. Currently pegged at approximately Rs. 106.04 cr the total business of the film has stunned the audience, critics and trade analysts alike. If that wasn’t all, looking at past releases that have made it to their 8th week running, Pushpa seems to have fared better than the previously released Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that had raked in Rs. 1.40 cr.
As of now, with new releases hitting screens in the form of Badhaai Do and the Deepika Padukone starrer Gehraiyaan taking over OTT streaming, Pushpa seems to face stiff competition on both fronts. The question of the hour is, will Pushpa: The Rise will continue to rise, or will its business finally slow down.
