Liger crashes on Monday; 90 percent of shows cancelled in South India

Liger has nearly ended its run at the box office in the South Indian markets. The film is out of most of the cinema halls in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka, as over 90 percent of the shows were cancelled on Monday. The same is the case in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana too, as the film is failing to find any sort of audience on Monday.

According to early tracking, the movie recorded nett collections in Lakhs on Monday, with a gross total of just about a crore in the Southern belt. While it collected approximately Rs. 26.50 crores gross over its four-day run, the five-day total will be around Rs. 27.50 crores. For those unaware, Liger collected Rs. 17 crores on Monday and since then, there have been crashes of epic proportions every single day.

The lifetime collections of Liger in the South Indian market will be a gross of Rs. 32 crores thereby emerging as one of the biggest disasters ever.  The losses to distributors in South India will be upwards of Rs. 50 crores. It has joined Acharya in the elite list of all-time double disasters (a term used often in the Southern belt)
