Junglee had a fair first week as Rs. 21.20 crore came in the first week. With the kind of start that it had taken, this was the kind of number on the cards.
The film had a similar opening day and weekend as Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga though the overall first week collections are a little better. That said, it now has to be seen whether the film manages to sustain itself in the second week. Though there is not a big ticket competition in front of it, there is John Abraham’s release Romeo Akbar Walter that would be the first choice of audiences. Then there is also Kesari which has been doing better than Junglee on a daily basis. All of that would dent the collections of this Vidyut Jammwal starrer.
As for Notebook, it has emerged as a major flop. The film’s first week is a mere Rs. 4.50 crore* and that would be about it for the romantic affair. This one is a huge disappointment for Salman Khan as a producer after Loveyatri, which was again a flop.
