This week saw the release of the drug drama Udta Punjab. The film, which features an ensemble cast of Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh released in 49 screens in the overseas.
The movie has grossed approx. AED 325,000 (Rs. 59.33 lacs) in its opening day in the U.A.E. Despite the ongoing season of Ramzan and the film's 18+ classification (Adults only rating), interestingly, Udta Punjab has met with a good start the UAE market.
