The Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu starrer Judwaa 2 which is a remake of the Salman Khan starrer Judwaa which released years back finally hit screens today. After immense promotion and hype surrounding the film Judwaa 2 was welcomed with open arms by the audience. In fact, last week’s films underperforming at the box office left a vacuum in entertainment which the David Dhawan directorial has gladly filled.
Now after opening on a good note with occupancy rates during morning shows being pegged at 40% Judwaa 2 has seen good growth over evening and night shows. While the film has been working rather well in mass dominated sectors, in certain territories [Gujarat and Central India] the film has seen a slight dip in footfalls owing to the last day of Navratri.
However, despite this Judwaa 2 is expected to end its opening day with an approximate collection of Rs. 14-15 cr. Incidentally, with this the film might also become Varun Dhawan’s highest opening day grosser surpassing his previous releases.
