The Mohit Suri directed film Half Girlfriend which is an adaptation of the Chetan Bhagat novel by the same name released on 19th May 2017. Starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles the film which garnered less than appreciative reviews from critics opened on a good note. In fact, the film has performed rather well over its opening weekend in both the domestic and overseas markets.

Interestingly the film has managed to cross Rs. 97 crores at the worldwide box office with Rs. 83.41 cr. gross coming in from the domestic market and another Rs. 13.83 cr. gross from the overseas markets.
