The movie was already the most hotly anticipated film of the year when it was announced in March because it is finally the third directorial outing of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Mohabbatein director Aditya Chopra. Aditya's films always turn out to be good and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is his next movie 8 years after Mohabbatein. The story is about an 'odd' couple played by Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma who find true love in the backdrop of a dance competition called "Dancing Jodi". Surinder Sahni (Shahrukh Khan), a man working for Punjab Power, who falls in love with Taani (Anushka Sharma) the flamboyant, fun-loving, vivacious girl for whom the whole world is her canvas and she paints her own life with the colours of rainbow all until unforeseen circumstances changes it all and brings them together. They get married and lead a not-so happy life due to huge age difference between Surinder and Taani. Taani, meanwhile, wants to participate in a reality dance show called "Dancing Jodi," which is the main backdrop of the movie. The dance contest showcases couples of all races, colours, backgrounds and sexual preferences. Taani wants to take part for the show, but she is not able to due to her husband's lack of fashion statement. Later on when Surinder finds out about his wife's wish to participate in the reality dance show, he undergoes a major change. Taani keeps falling in love with her changed husband. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is such a beautiful film that touches your heart that makes you cry and laugh in some points like Shahrukh against a sumo wrestler. Some of my friends thought that it looked rubbish because in the promos Shahrukh Khan had a moustache, and comb over and was wearing bad cloths but is truly the best the best Bollywood movie of the year after a long list of turkeys. It is also the first Shahrukh film of the year and before this he made special appearances in Krazzy 4 and Bhootnath. The music is brilliant although they can't match with the classic soundtracks of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Mohabbatein but there were about 5 songs and every single song was good and I don't know what the best songs are. It is a must see unless you do not like Shahrukh or have a heart of stone because there is no way you are going to like it.

Biggest disaster of 2008. I was expecting alot from Aditya Chopra. Broke the record of earlier disasters like Drona, Kidnap and Karz. Please don't waste your time and money. Go to a restaurant and have a nice dinner instead of watching this awful movie. Totally disappointing!

I thnk dis (TARAN ADARSH) gone mad dis days...who gives 2 star for RNBDJ n recently he gave 3 n half star 2 Yuvvraj so every 1 can decide on his reviews)...any how lets go with dis movie review..RDBDJ is some thng whc is desperately needed in dis generation so its here n once again Shahrukh prove he cant onlt goood in designer cloths he can briliant with out it bein a Surender Sahani (RGV dis is 4 U) it was said SRK is not worth actor but dis Charismatic personality once again prove he is not only Good but he is da actual KING of Bollywood....From da 1st minute of movie da audience get attach to da character Surender sahni n he is da USP of movie...it says about the very Ordinary man n his extra ordinary Love for his wife....1st half will goes in laughing n when U realize U see da 1 n half passed in very short time..by bein with surender sahni..N when U enter in 2nd half U 5nd lot of emotion n convincing part on RAJ n SURI...finally SURI win as he is natural with a Golden Heart...SRK is in every frame of movie n da Newcomer Anushka did a good job n Vinay pathak is brilliant as a Bobby... but on the whole da RNBDJ is 100 out of 100...it is a very sweet n simple Love story no one shud miss dis movie..as it teach U da appearance is not all for loving some one it is Heart 4 which U can bow ur head n get in 2 Love Love n Love.... ( I suggest Taran Adarsh 2 stop reviewing da movies da only error recently he gave 3 n half star for Yuvvraaj so easily can understand bout his ratings...n he gone further n said da Yuvvraj is one of da brilliant work of Ghai..dis bugger is very commercial so plz dont trust on his review..) plz go n watch RNBDJ n U wont b disappointed.

This is one of the worst movie i have ever seen. There is no soul in the film, Aditya chopra has taken viewers for granted.Anybody can make comparison between 2 shahrukh except his stupid wife. shahrukh has overacted in stylish one character.The film was looking like an Tv serial show, which was never ending.There are endless flaws in the film. If a director like aditya chopra takes 8 years to write this kind of script, there shoud be so many minute details, without any stupid flaws, which even any ordinary man can describe.I went with my whole family with huge expectation, but was very disappointed. Taran adarsh is absolutely right in judging the film, but he gave 2 stars, which could have been decreased.

This movie was really great, everything in the movie was extremely good, if you want to fall in love with a movie this season Rab Ne bana di Jodi is one where all a beating heart would go for. There is one dialogue in the movie where SRK says 'Kya Karu Main tumhe Rab se zyadaa pyar karta hoon'... That epitomizes the whole movie, a feel good movie which would make you fall in love again whether it be with your wife or your girlfriend and realize that it is love which conquers the world A must watch for every Jodi out there no matter what the age, lets all fall in love with the movie of the Year RAB NE BANA DI JODI....... Thank you SRK and Aditya Chopra for making a wonderful movie
