Review - Inspired by the incredible true story of Lucky Singh (Abhay Deol), an extremely charismatic and fearless confidence man and thief who socialized with the rich, famous and influential of Delhi society and then proceeded to rob them blind. He was the "bête noire" of the police and had stolen millions by the time he was caught. A modern day Robin Hood with a twist, he robbed both the rich and the poor without prejudice. Nothing was too big nor was anything too insignificant to escape his attention. The film opens with his trial and charts his rise from the projects of crime ridden suburban Delhi to the very heart of the corridors of power. Along the way he makes life-long friends, falls in love an manages to outwit the entire law and order machinery. "Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye" (OLLO) is a parable of an India in flux on the cusp of it's economic revolution when traditional values battled with "nouveau riche" desires. OLLO is an example of a movie which disappoints you, while you expect something really good from the same. It's the film from the same director who gave us "Khosla Ka Ghosla" which had a real freshness in it & a very sensible humor. Of course OLLO is sensible as well & even the performances are good, neither is anything wrong with the direction, but problem is, OLLO does not provides you, what you expect! Lack of humor, nothing very special in the movie (apart from Abhay Deol's performance), the movie just starts & finishes, leaving the viewers empty heart. The direction by Dibakar is fine, but he should have presented various factors of the movie in a more clearer way. There are few moments in the movie which would make you laugh. But the only real watchable factor the movie has, is the performance by Abhay Deol. He definitely is one of the most under-rated young actor in Bollywood. He does his performance in an excellent way (as usual). But, never-mind, OLLO has it's moments too, where you would enjoy. Could have been much better.

First half rock the show...with local punchlines of delhi....soft romance and comedy wins the heart. But second half equally lets you down with sudden ending climax. First half brings you excitement but in second half it gets lost. Abhay deol did his role with ease and neetu chandra is in guest appearance. paresh in three role was only ok....expectaion was little higher then what he has delivered. Bangali role played was noticeable only. Music is the major loss...could have been little better like khosla ka ghosla. Overall time pass movie.

Gud in parts... dull in parts...
Initial part of d story rocks when Lucky's youth is shown. It rocks. Abhay does well but its not his best performance till date. He has much much more potential as an actor.
Music is ok type
Paresh rawal is strictly ok
KKK was better dan OLLO surely
But OLLO is still worth a watch
