The movie is extremely awesome. Everything in the movie is so perfect that in my mind IT is the best hindi film in recent times. Right from the story, to the characters and actors selection everything seems perfect. Each character is so well written and executed that IT leaves a hangover on you long after the movie is over. One of the better movies to come out of Bollywood in recent times, Mumbai Meri Jaan makes for a captivating watch - Excellent narrative, taut screenplay, sensitive direction, superior performances (Paresh, Madhavan, Irfan excel), subtle humour, impactful art direction and cinematography.. the movie is entertaining as well as thought-provoking. Mumbai Meri Jaan stands out from the crappy melodramas, rom-coms and inane comedies, which try to pass off as entertainment these days in Hindi cinema, and unfortunately for us, reviewers and trade analysts equate such movies to good entertainment. They should encourage films like MMJ more. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie. It had a huge impact and there was never a dull moment. This is what mainstream cinema could be if one doesn't go in with the automatic assumption that the audiences are idiots. Strongly recommended.
