WOW...now this is one of those rare movies which become what they aer due to powerful performances. Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan make this film what it is. offcourse, the due credot does go to Vipul Shah for immaclate direction and interesting plot, but the film moves to the "bests of the year" category only because of the intense and amazing performance by Salam and Ajay. While Ajay is as good as was expected from him, it is Salman who actually springs up a pleasent surprise. Now this is one treat to watch...Salman's performance clearly indicates teh amount of trust he has had on this film and his role. If wanted saw his graph moving up from 1 to 5, then London Dreams rasies it all the way up to 10. Such is his command on the role that he even gets the comedy right this time. Otherwise, as a Salman Khan fan, i always felt hopeless whenever has attempts to play a comic role, as he ususaly goes way over the top with his screechy dialogue delivery and his monotenous expressions...but amazingly, this time...he gets it spot-on and makes us laugh with his perfect delivery and timing. if his comedy is good...its the intense parts of his role that he is the most impressive in...the last hour or so displays what a wonderful actor he can become if he really gets involve in a role. Ajay is 100% convincing in his portrayal of jealousy, frustration and anger...we have seen ajay in such intense roles...and he doesn't disappoint us this time as well. Asin is imressive in her short role. Music is EXCELLENT (except for the second last song). Khwab Jo...Mann ko Ati Bhaave and Barso are amazing compositions. and although people are illogically criticizing the music of the film...i truly found it perfectly in harmony with the mood and subject of the film. the chemistry between Salman and Ajay is truly catchy. hats-off too the cinematographer and production team for slick quality. people are quoting that the movie get dragged along in the last hour an hour...well its true that no body would've mind a few cuts...but i didn't mind the dragging as well...i felt that it helped to give a smooth and calm end to this intense film. overall...i can confidently rate this movie in the top 3 of the year...with "Kaminey" and "Love Aaj Kal" being the other two. not to be missed...deffinitely worth multiple viewings.

A very good movie! However the script is more, we have seen it all before, two friends, one gets jealous takes revenge but then at the end realises his mistake blah blah blah... Climax of the Wembley gig could of been handled better, the constant throwing of bottles and what not is so predictable, over the top and not needed. Manus drug obsession is just silly could of been handled better, Asin is wasted, tbh after Ghanjini she needed a much meatier and chunky role London Dreams does not do justice to her remarkable talent. However saying all that London Dreams is excellent because the cast and crew make it excellent! The crew have done a fantastic job in this movie and it looks amazing WELL DONE! The CAST my GOD! THEY ARE BRILLIANT! Salmaan suits his character to the core!! He has played the Character of Manu brilliantly, its basically just an extension of him in real life, a fun loving guy with a huge heart! The two other band members are good, Brilliant acting for new comers! Asin is good, however does deserve a larger portion of the movie as the screen time given to er is not good enough for her talent, but however she is does justice to her role and works brilliantly in the scripts, Om Puri good as usual, hes good at playing the uncle from Punjab lol nothing new. But the star of the show is Ajay! This movie really made me realise how talented Ajay is!! I had not noticed it before that how dynamic and versatile the actor is. He can play any role, honestly he can! Omkara,All the Best, Golmaal, U Me aur Hum and London Dreams,I think Ajay is one of the most underrated talented actors in the industry! HE IS BRILLIANT AND THE STAR IN THIS MOVIE!!! SOL's music is BRILLIANT! All the songs are amazing,different and brilliant! Well done to them once again!!! Overall a good watch and highly recommended especially leading up to the interval and after it- thats what makes London Dream soo good! :D I would give it ***1/2 but im going to give it **** as Ajays acting has won me over i think hes amazing loool, soo 4*s and well deserved!! :D

Music is decent but one of the drawbacks of the movie 4. Acting is superb; Ajay Devgans best after Hum dil de Chuke sanam; Salman Khan's comic timing is gud as usual 5. London Dreams is loosely inpired by Amadeus - the movie on Europe's great musicians and composers of all time Mozart and Beethoven and Rajkumar Santoshi were to film on Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan once a decade back.London Dreams is the story of two childhood friends from Punjab, India. It is the story about one friend who dreams to be a pop star like Michael Jackon by making it big at the Wembley Stadium, London and other friend who considers his friend to be God and supports his dream in every sense. London Dreams is about the jealousy between gifted talent and hard earned talent for music and love. It is just coincident that London Dreams also has love factor in the story alike Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam but no in the pivotal role of the subject. Music is the subject and so goes on the story. But unfortunately songs are average kind in the movie.London Dreams is a story of one destined and god-gifted talent, Manjit Khosla a.k.a. Manu (Salman Khan) and hard working musician with passion for music and dream to make it big especially at Wembley and the Lead Singer of London Dreams Band. Arjun (Ajay Devgan) and their friendship and struggle and win back the lost pride of the family and the victory at one may say Mecca of Music audience, the Wembley at London. London Dreams is the first Indian movie or movie by any Indian Filmmaker where in London is depicted so lively and so beautiful and so picturesque, so is piqturised Eiffel Tower of Paris in background when Salman proposes Asin. Thank God, London Dreams does not have the Yash Chopra Lobby style of Punjab. It would be outright incorrect to mention here any thing about the role depiction of Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan intentionally, because London Dreams is truly the first Blockbuster hit of 2009. About Asin, she reminds of typical south indian herione casted in a Hindi movie of 60s and 80s - a typical show piece and nothing do much about one thumka idhar and other thumka udhar and in the end go with the hero for an happy ending. But only new thing is Asin looks cute despite of her small role. But the plus point this is for the first time any south Indian heroine looking so cute in an Hindi movie. Music of the film barring a couple of songs is not hummable but easily gels with the theme in the movie. Screenplay is gripping and does not allow one to move out even during the songs. Cinematography by Sejal Shah is A class. Editing by Amitabh Shukla is par excellence especially the playing with the screen time and increasing it and making it gripping. Overall, London Dreams is the first movie in many months that lures one to go and watch it again and again in cinema halls for its sheer magnum opus quality maintained by the filmmaker, Vipul A. Shah. Do not get surprised if London Dreams sweeps away most of the awards in all awards functions.Ratings 4/5 stars.- Prasad Satkalmi

It is simple story of two friends with different personality .....One is mast maula and other one is focussed towards his goal...But god has given talent to talent and jealousy born in focussed one...It is simple story said in well mannered..lot of review about logic in this movie..there is thousands of hindi movie which were hit ..LD is better than all of them... People are saying music is not up to mark......I think finest lyrics by prasoon joshi and talented trio of shankar ehsaan loy.. Dialogues are absolutely brilliant. You can not measure performance of Ajay devgan untill director is at worst....Here he is outstanding...Ah other hero salaman khan... I can't recall when i watched his movie in cinema hall(I didnt watch wanted)..whatever people say about his acting..he developed his own style like dilip kumar,amitabh bachchan,Srk etc..he is superab..beacuse of him, he is not boring otherwise film could fall flat.Asin is good...she has to learn....Others are well in their roles

undoubtedly one of the best entertainers of 2009. emotions,drama,comedy and revenge.salman khan walks with top honours for his hilarious comedy. ajay was okie with his intense role. asin was adorable.asin n salman made a cute couple. rannvijay and aditya were strictly okie. story was fantastic but the climax could have been better. music was a big drawback, shankar-ehsaan-loy should take the blame for it. they completely let the film down after a rocking rock-on. the one thing which was completely mind blowing was the camera work...it was brilliant..my god..!! i was taken aback by the concert angles...!! overall i should say...salman khan, u have done it again after blockbuster wanted.u overshadowed a versatile actor like ajay devgan in the film.it completely came as a shock to me. london dreams totally belongs to salman.
