Life Partner is first and foremost NOT THAT BAD... u gotta give them credit for being good inspite of such prejudiced critisism. Nuthing new abt the soul of the movie, but a light n dramatic peek into life before and after marriage is what awaits u here. Fardeen-Genelia are a couple madly in love who impulsively decide to get married and realise they were much happier and in-love while they were dating. Their romance is sweet and full of life, though tension between them is equally heart-wrenching. Especially for a genelia fan like myself to see her heart-broken. Marriage is just too much it seems. Tusshar is a gujju bhai who waits for his wife, which will be selected by his parents. While bride-hunting he falls for Prachi who is an old family frnds daughter. Families approve and Tusshar and Prachi are happily married. Prachi being headstrong and independent cannot bear the values forced on her by her in-laws and this causes tension in her marriage. Govinda, divorce lawyer and frnds of tusshar n Fardeen coaxes them into divorce. He also discouraged the concept of marriage in the first place but gets his way after all. Comedy is good. Drama is unexpectedly moving, and performances are above average.
