I was really disheartened.....It wasn't the kind of movie which I was so much dying to watch even on the expense of the fact that this is my final semester exam week.I am a big die hard fan of Hritik,and the fact that this movie also has Barbara Mori in it is why I was dragged to the cinema theater.But all in vain.Only becoz I was with my frnds,I culdnt make out the time that passed by....otherwise the movie was a shit..not as was expected.It was like digging a mole out of a hill....

Excellent film. truly hollywood...read on if you dnt believe me.... I always wanted to see the first show of this film and i was too excited about it...but managed a show only on second day. By then the reviews by many had made me think it was not worth it... But i was wrong. The film is simply superb and takes storytelling to another level. Performances are gr8 by the lead pair....Hrithik stands tall and proves tht he is the best of all. For all those who find the film bad, i guess u really dont watch english movies....u just like salman's wanted kinda movies with no sense at all. The songs are good but its the background score which works great. The haunting chorus used frequently maintains the thilling level at all time.... First half is brilliant....second half is good but a tad slow. But a gr8 film in all respects. truly an internatinal film. Even foreign critics are admiring it. Refer rottentomatoes.com if u dnt believe me. And we r giving it thumbs down...Cmon guys grow up...u dnt like these movies tht is the reason we r not able to match up with the west. I wud rate it 4/5 and i stand by it. All i wud suggest to all is...dont go by others reviews....go watch it yourself once....and then decide. Give the movie a fair chance....its much worth it!!!

One Sentence to say before reviewing the kites. "After a long time I have seen a good Romantic Tragedy". Before release of kites there is a question will these kites is going to fly? I am answering Ya definitely. Kites is an romantic thriller but its also a tragedy. kites tells us story about two lovers who are not knowing languages of each other then also they are loving each other. Its shows That love has no language. Beautiful topic & concept. We have seen many times these formula in Hindi movies that hero & heroine are running away from home & that we see again in kites. But, the chase sequences are really heart throbbing and we like to see it. I cat forget the Dance done by hrithik roshan in that Dance competition. Mind blowing Dance I have ever seen by hrithik roshan. There are some minuses of movie, It has slow pace and that makes us bore & I think climax could have been better. No doubt Its a tragedy. But,At last moment of the movie, When hero to take revenge We are not getting what we want, i mean audience want some fight sequences & we are not getting that. Whats kind of revenge is these? Over all kites is watchable at lest one time for the Act & Dance of hrithik roshan.

I’m sure kites will fly in the sky…movie start with these awesome lines “jab do patange ek sath hawa bahut der tak hawa me udti hai to unme se ek ko kut ke girna chahta haiâ€. i cant say kites is awesome movie but yes movie is good and has a very beautiful love story, it is not different from other crap bd movies.. but treatment is totally different..some romantic and action scenes are really very good.... Hrithik & Barbara are fabulous and their chemistry is just mindblowing, anurag basu direction is also very good... background music is awesome & song are also good,Choreography of Fire song is just amazing... I got 3 bad things in Kites...too much Spanish, 1st half is very slow & story is like naye botal me purani sharab.. my suggestion...if you are fed up by crap bollywood movies,if you want to feel the love,If you like something hatke then go for kites..
