I am not saying that Kaminey is bad, but it was not what we or atleast I had expected. The presentaion was very good, performences-brilliant. The visuals were stunnung and reminds us of the classic Pulp fiction, the sound and background score were simply amazing (especially, "Go charlie" theme... was "superb"). But the problem was with the plot. The Complex story line made the whole first half very slow. Three-Four stories going on simultaneusly. In every ten minutes, a new character was introduced and everything was messed up. The director was not successful to grab the audiece's attention. But in the second half, suddenly the movie picked up pace, as the story became clear. The punches were also far better in this half and all the characters became alive. However, there were loopholes. The different stories didn't connected strongly. Like, the hatred between the two brothers was not justified and so many other thngs were not made clear. Performance wise, Shahid Kapoor was brilliant as Charlie. Vishal proved that Shahid has much more caliber than what we have seen till date. But at the same time, Shahid was very ordinary as Guddu. Again the director should be blamed because he has not done proper justice in defining this character. There are some scenes between Guddu and Priyanka, which are unnecessarily long and boring that we wish them to end soon. Priyanka was fascinating in aamchi marathi accent and so as Amol Gupte. Find of the movie is Chandan Roy Sanyal as Mikhail. In his short chameo, he showed tremendous potential. The chemistry between him and Charlie was 100 times better than chemistry between Guddu and Sweety(No double meaning please). The scene between Bhope and Mikhail was the best scene in the movie. Overall, I would say it a somewhat over confident effort by Vishal Bharadwaj. Vishal, the reason I am saying this is because our expectations from you are much higher. It is like everytime sachin comes to bat, we expect him to score century. I know it is a very big comparison for a 4-5 old movie director, but your previous two movies has taken you to a certain level. So, atleast try to keep up that level.

Overall i found the experience of this movie very satisfying. The entire proceedings right from Frame 1 of the movie is build up and up to be taken to a excellent finale. Performances are great. I believe both Shahid and Priyanka have given their best till date. The only slight hitch is, the film sticks heavily to the subject such that u have to concentrate hard to stay with the narration of the story. Moreover, I feel that the climax should have been better.

This movie has the finest screenplays I have seen in recent times, to give 14 odd characters complete justice is a very tall order but Vishal does it with great skill. I can understand why some people may not like this kind of cinema becasue they are use to the same old bollywood treatment which is dished out in every movie again and again and yet again. This kind of cinema takes time getting use to but trust me if you want quality then Kaminey has plenty with some fantastic performances but if you want the same run of the mill storylines but then bother! This is for the people who are exposed to world cinema and will really applaude what VB has given Indian cinema this time around and hope this is a start to a new beginning for the Indian movie industry.. A must see but only for people with brains!

HMMMM !! Where do I FTART ??? :) Awesome, Mind-blowing, GRound-Breaking; i can not think of enough adjectives to rate this movie. to be honest, i went to the theatre with an unclear mind, as Bhardwaj's Omkaara was a CLASSIC and it normally happens that directors go a little bit over the top to prove their intellignece and off-beat styles. but right from the word "GO", the film glued me and i wanted it to never end. The movie has a world of it's own...and man!! what a world that is. there are so many things to point out over here... first of all, SHAHID KAPOOR. now this is something way beyond expectations. everybody knew that shahid is a good actor, but while portraying the charecters of Guddu and Charlie, he has given us such a pleasent surprise. He is a powerhouse of TALENT and bhardwaj explores every hidden facet of this talent. Tarun right commented in his review that Shahid is a total SUPERSTAR over here. it would be extremely difficult for the award giving people NOT to award him the best actor trophy. then comes the Narration of the movie...what a SCREENPLAY and what an EXECUTION!!! we have seen twins going the opposite ways and coming together a million times in Bollywood, but what we see in KAMINEY, seems like altogether a new scenario...and all the credit goes to the flawless screenplay and an amazing treatment to the plot. HATS OFF TO BHARDWAJ!!! i used to rate Priyanka as one of the most "over-hyped" actresses of bollywood. she did give a glimpse of her abilities in Fahion, but she has totally changed my perspective about her in Kaminey. it is extremely difficult for an actress to ensure that people remember her performance in a film where the Hero plays a double role. But one doesn't only remember Priyanka's performance, but also admires the maturity that she has brought into the character of Sweety. then comes the background score, which is a big contributor to the haunting effect of the movie. Cinematography is AMAZING. and all the actors in supporting roles are extra-oridnary, especially the peson who played BHOPE. overall, KAMINEY is an experience like none other. Bhardwaj has kept an amazing balance between Commercial cinema and his service to Art. i am deffinitley going to watch this again. NOT to be missed at all.
