Jhootha Hi Sahi is a Romance movie. This movie is Directed by Abbas Tyrewala.Who made jane tu ya jane nah in 2008.His that movie is blockbuster in boxoffice. But his this movie is very poor form his 1st movie.Siddharth [John Abraham] wakes up one night to a call from a desperate man threatening to jump out of the window, he isn't prepared for what lies ahead. A mixed-up phone number. A desi suicide helpline in London. And various callers demanding that Sid give them a reason to live. Or else... Until one fateful night, Mishka [Pakhi] calls. And they both discover an unlikely bond. Sid becomes her nameless friend. Her faceless philosopher. And she becomes his reason to rethink about life. Along the way, he also lies to her. Lies about his exciting adventures and daring escapades. The mountains he has climbed and the sharks he has tamed. Until the day they accidentally meet. And Sid falls in love. How can he tell her the truth? That he's just a simple bookseller? With four friends, a small apartment and a girlfriend whom no one likes and he doesn't love. The first and foremost thing that you expect from a film is an engrossing story and of course, a cohesive screenplay that keeps your attention alive for the next two hours. But the screenplay [Pakhi] is devoid of moments that bring a smile on your face at the end of the screening. Ideally, one would expect the focus to be on the principal pair, but the sub-plots [the friends and their sequences] dominate a good chunk of the film. And that, consequently, makes the film verbose, talk-heavy, tedious and verrry lengthy. On retrospection, the female protagonist [Pakhi] comes across as a confused character, who finds stability in her life when John stages an entry, but goes back to her ex [Madhavan] for no particular reason. And the moment she does that, she drops John like a hot potato. That's not all, she, all of a sudden, dumps her ex too and goes back to John. Thanks to this reason, the character comes across as someone who's stone-hearted, cold and confused and that's also the reason why you don't jump with joy when the lovers unite towards the end. Also, like I pointed out earlier, the multiple tracks in the film are a deterrent. The track of the gay couple is silly and unimaginative, while the relationship between the aggressive and dominating pregnant sister and her Japanese fiance is weird. Also, if the sensibilities of the film are Western and the humour British, the ending becomes Bollywoodish conveniently. The entire sequence at the bridge looks so filmy. Now come to the performance.John Abraham play the roll of Sid.He is perfect for that roll.He done good job.Abbas Tyrewala's wife Pakhi is ok as Mishka. This is her 1st movie. She is also the writer of this movie. But The other hand A R Rahman's music is not good what we want from him. This is a flop movie.

Absolutely loved the movie :-) John Abrahim's best performance till date without any doubt. Actually I had zero expectations from the film, but it was a big surprise. Jane Tu ya Jane Na...was not a fluke, this guy Abbas Tyrewala knows his work, and he has a very unique style of direction. Amazing You'll miss a special movie if you wont watch it.

Filled with stereotype characters, and predictable plotline of rom-com, with good music and fabulous performances, this one is not the perfect cut on its level. You cannot compare this one to the director’s previous “Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na†because here the story is way too much simple to understand. The writing did not have wittiness and with loop holes it was difficult to absorb the story; but the director have given a refreshing narrative and so this film may end as a buoyant fun to enjoy. The screenplay also lacks the moments to grow on viewers in first half. The first half is too slow though it had some funny scenes to enjoy. First half is below the mark, but the second half starts well and has many things to tell. The scenes where these friends start their funny discussions are very easy to laugh on; they are the highlight moments for the film. Such are the scenes which keeps the momentum high. The climax of the film is composed simply in a potboiler way, but we don’t complain because that was part of the film. A.R.Rahman’s music is good but doesn’t match to his level. The performances are first rate. John Abraham topples the list with his endearing screen presence. Pakhi is good and Raghu Ram is a fun guy to spot on. Rest all characters provides the film’s best scenes, and all credit goes to the director. The director is in terrific form but the predictable script doesn’t allow the director to rise above it. The dialogues are very good in the lingo of youths. Only a good script and better first half would have changed it into much entertaining film unlike this. Still “Jhootha Hi Sahi†is an above average film which should watched once without expecting much from it. Though first half may disappoint you, but second half is engaging. I’m going with generous ratings because of splendid performances. Review: 3/5

A Huge Disappointment from Abbas Tyrewala in the form of JHS. Really don't know what the director was thinking while penning this idea. The Script is so weak and loose that you hardly get involved in the film barring a few comic sequences. An utter waste of time and money. Avoid it strictly. John has to really think about the scripts before signing the films now. The actress Pakhi just doesn't suit in the female lead. Overall Thumbs down.
