A truly excellent film which despite its many shocks and surprises - entertains the hell out of you. Madhur Bhandarkar has done an impeccable job with the direction and giving the film the right look and feel. Priyanka Chopra's performance is the only performance this year which has been truly award-worthy. She carries off the weight of being a small town girl/big supermodel/drugee very well! Kangana Ranaut goes over the top in one scene - but her overall performance is flawless and a little bit scary. Mughda Godse, Arjan Bajwa, Arbaaz Khan, Harsh Chayya and Sameer Soni have all done very well and are extremely confident! The cinematography, dialogue, wardrobe, styling etc. is all very top-notch. Overall the film will definitely receive a horde of rewards going to its credit. Undoubtedly, this is Madhur's best work till date.

Fashion is a pretty good movie. Certainly NOT a great film though. It is on par with other Bhandarkar films, where you have few subplots running parallelly around the protagonist. <br/> Also, as in other films, it does not reveal deep insight or workings of the backdrop. Here, it doesn't tell you much about fashion industry. If you see 'Satya' or 'Company', it shows how underworld really operates. Here, 'Fashion' industry is merely a background wallpaper. <br/> Bhandarkar could've used pretty much the same story for different industry backdrop as well, such as Film, Pop-Music, Remix world, or even Cricket. <br/> Bhandarkar and his team really needs to work more diligently on script, instead of just focusing on how to inject subterfuges in the plot. Do ALL the fashion designers are Gay ? <br/> Although, It seemed to me that Bhandarkar has matured as a director and delivered a better product than his last few ventures. <br/> Priyanka Chopra has done a good job. Kangana is the best of the lot. She is synonym for 'damsel in distress' roles now. She has done it once again after Gangster, Woh Lamhe and Metro. Mugdha Godse acts very good for a debutant. Rest of the supporting actors are mostly aptly cast, except Arbaaz Khaan. He is an awful actor in this film, and is annoying. Kay Kay Menon, Rajat Kapoor or Irfan Khan would've been a better choice. 'Fashion' is not a bad film, if you don't expect much from it.

Hatts off to Sir Madhur for making such a brillaint movie! Every moment shot in the movie touches every chord of your heart... The storyline, the sets, the costumes, the reality behind the ramps, the controversies & politics-all these aspects just show that the director of this movie has grown from strength to strength! He exactly knows what he wants... Coming to the performances...Priyanka-the main protagonist-stood out of all! Kangana, as per usual, has stunned the audience with her performance..She looks gorgeous and carries off her character with élan! Mughda Godse is brillaint as well...for a newcomer! The rest of the actors fit into the bill exactly and the credit goes to the casting director ofcourse! When you watch this movie, you get the feel of witnessing a real-life story of a struggling model who rose to success & fame and went down back to zero...The movie is shot brilliantly and there is no awkwardness throughout! The changes in Priyanka's emotions, feelings, personality & confidence are captured brilliantly and priyanka is seen like NEVER BEFORE...standing ovation to her!

This is a very good movie and I would recommend all to go an watch it. The movie is about the rise of a small town girl to become a supermodel but in the advent of circumstances that she couldn't handle, her downfall. I loved the movie overall. But there were a few glithes in the last 20minutes or so. I couldn't get the motto of the film right. Was it that being too ambitious is not a good deal as it happened with priyanka's character. In the movie she got a second chance in life most of us don't get that chance.
