3.5 Very Good

Here comes yet another hard hitting reality movie from Madhur. As usual execution is very good – just some exceptional flaws in second half, restraining it from being a great movie.
Madhur has captured essence of fashion industry very effectively – got great help from camera of Limaye and production set designer Nitin Desai. This is especially evident for the fashion shows in first half. These shows are the strength of first half – taking you to height of high adrenaline, taking superb grip on audience. The shows are jewelled with classic background score and really effective performances by Kangna and some other enacting fashion industry experts.
On acting front – Kangna has outperformed everyone over there. As a model, she has shown a great confidence and superb attitude. Off the ramp also Kangna’s performance is top notch. Priyanka is good but not so effective. And here is yet another candid appearance of Harsh Chhaya. The industry should take a note of this actor’s potential. The greatness of this actor lies in the fact that his role of Vinay Khosla was completely different from the one in ‘Corporate’ and yet he has done it with same perfection.
The first half is a building block of cinema, but it is second half and the climax which you take of along with you to home. And here this movie fails to usual ‘where to stop – how to stop’ syndrome. Second half seems to be stretched and loses its grip at multiple points. The pace of happenings is also very low.
This is probably the flaw of scripting a reality movie. Because industry will be going on - may who comes, who left. Someone’s life will also keep going on – may what happen. That never means your reality movie based on that story will also keep moving on.
Having said that, overall effect of movie is still much better than regular bollywood movies – only point is script and thereby movie was having much more potential, which is trimmed by lousy execution of second half.
