First things first, do not solely, wholly judge my review…I’m not like those stupid critics who just blast the film at the start just because they want the film to flop!!
Let’s get started,
Fashion, the movie, is one piece of work from the great and young filmmaker Madhur Bandharkar. It is by far this year’s greatest movie. Why? cause it’s realistic. it’s an eye opener for young girls who intend to get into the fashion world..
Characters
I won’t get into details of the role just the performance per artist..
Priyanka Chopra really excels in this one. She acts as the simple and innocent girl from Chandigarh then is not shy from walking the ramp…and many more character changes follows..the audience will find themselves loving her, then sympathizing with her, ending up hating her, feeling sorry for her and lastly, really proud of her…Priyanka is one actress who’s here to stay (ahemm, Kareena) despite the fact that she has no filmy grandmothers or grandfathers, like every of her co-star says, “she works hard with a smileâ€. She has always acted well in her movies and Fashion, is just another toasts for her…So whether or not, this is her best performance as many put it that way, her acting in this movie was nothing beyond my expectations. She did a great job…
Kangana Ranaut is an actress of not that many years of experience but she has always tried to get into the role of her characters and thus, not failing to impress as well. She’s lovely in this one, a bitch in fact in the first 30 minutes or an hour of the film, she excels. But she does seem to carry the same type of roles..
Mugdha Godse, a newcomer, does really well. She stands up to other established actors in this movie..Her character is the most subtle one, like a supporting character.
Arjan Bajwa, plays Priyanka’s lover before she becomes famous but he’s there only for a while.
Overall
Right after the ending, I clapped for this movie. I heard how people stood up and clapped when Rang De Basanti ended and always wondered why but now Fashion has gained my clap as well. All in all, this movie is an eye opener and a great lesson as well.
