Madhur Bhandarkar rocks silver screen with another hot and
social topic. This time he explored the most sensational ‘Fashion’
world. He
tried to explore the Fashion world with all the minutes details ( like pro, con
aspects) and his efforts are significant.
Well what I believe that in today’s era the world is very small,
due to various technologies and media most of the time we have plenty of
information about any product. Same thing is with ‘Fashion world’ and after
watching this movie I got more realistic picture about the fashion world.
Synopsis: This is a story about a middle class girl whose
dream is to become super model. Story is about her struggle, success, failure and
achievements.
Madhur Bhandarkar’s movies are well known for its boldness and social message. So he followed the same pattern with ‘Fashion’ like what he
did with his previous movies ‘Chandani Bar’,‘Page3’,’Corporate’ and ‘Traffic
Signal’.
Story revolves around 3 characters and they are Kagna Ranaut,Mugdha Godse and Priyanka Chopra.
Kangna is playing ‘Super Model’ character. Here I will give full marks to
the director.. Kagna played her character nicely,I can say better than her previous flicks. Through her character director was trying to revel the life of
a super model. How the super models live their life, what they do, their
attitude and arrogance and about their success and failures.
Mugdha is playing a character of struggling model. There are
so many models who wants to become super model but only few of them get chance
to become supermodel and few of them get chance to survive in the industry.
Through her character director tried to show another part of the fashion world.
How much struggle,compromises models need to do for their existence. Well Mugdha
is not an actress but she did a good work. Her presentation and expressions are
good.
Priyanka is playing a character of middle class girl from Chandigarh who wants to
become a super model. She is the main character of the entire movie. Through
her character director explore the desire, success, failure of a common person.
The attributes of ‘Priyanka’s ‘ character
is hardwork,compromises,struggle and luck. I am not a fan of Priyanka but I
must say Priyanka has lot of potential. She did marvellous job and justified
her character.May be I am wrong but what I feel that She improved a lot though in some scenes she was not good.
Apart from these three girls others also did a good work.Arbaz Khan whose is playing a character of Fashion World Icon,some how he managed to show his presence. Kittu
Kidwani also played her character
properly and nicely.
Well we all know that Madhur focus more on story than music. Songs are good.Backgroung scores are good and perfectly implemented.Specially ‘Jalwa’ scores.
There are some drawbacks like in second half there are too much variations ,lots of
emotions.So much smokes and drinks(I was wondering how come Mr. Ramados doesn’t
says anything).
But I really appreciate the quality work by Madhur
Bhandarkar. Full credit goes to him for his work.Plotting,Dialogues and Flow
all are well planned and perfect.
In one line I can say that ’Fashion’ is better than ’Corporate’ and ’Traffic Signal’ .Hope in next movie we can see the power and impact of ’Chandani Bar’ and "Page 3’.But again it is question of "Subject" and "Matter".
