4 Very Good

DHOOM 3:- KEEPS US SEATED AND URGING FOR MORE

I have never been a fan of the Dhoom Series..but for that one man called Aamir Khan, i was eager to go for it..and he did not disappoint at all..

When you see him involved in a movie, you would believe that it would have something which is different and unusual..and it indeed was..I would have gone for a movie so early in the day for the 1st time ever..

It is a story of an individual called Sahir Khan (Aamir Khan), who lived in Chicago and his only aim was to take revenge of his father's death..The movie began with the history of a circus in Chicago titled Great Indian Circus owned by Jackie Shroff (father of Sahir)..The circus was mortgaged by Western Bank Of Chicago and despite of many efforts, Jackie couldn't save it..As a result of this,he kills himself..

The revenge starts here..The only aim of Sahir in life was to destroy and end Western Bank of Chicago..And the robberies start..On the hindsight, he also rebuilds and practices to start Great Indian Circus again..

To catch him, our very own Jay Dixit(Abhishek Bachchan) and Alibhai(Uday Chopra) are being called from India..Their entry scene is quite comic to say the least..Watch out for it in the theaters..

For the circus to begin again, they were in need of an Asian girl who was good at singing and dancing. Enter Aaliya(Katrina Kaif)..She enters in a bicycle and bowls Sahir over..more in theaters..

I would not like to go much in detail with the story but would comment that it is certainly worth it..The thing that clicks for this movie is the manner in which it has been written..Unlike the previous 2 flicks, this one tries to be much more realistic..

As far as the entertainment part is concerned, there is all that you would associate with a movie of Dhoom Series..Best being the lovely bikes and locations on offer..

The picturisation was so good that it was just a treat to watch the movie on the whole..There are quite a few fights, action, comedy, drama etc.. It is a good mixture of all so we can term it as a typical Bollywood flick..The stunts are totally filmy but the story is emotional which wasn't the case in the previous 2 movies..

You get a feeling that a different flavour has been added to the movie on the whole thanks to Aamir Khan being a part of it..He has made it sure that the movie is just not totally masala Bollywood type..And he wont even do such a film..so you can definitely expect something meaningful from it..

There are lots of twists and surprises to keep you waiting on your seats to analyse what is coming up next..The length of the movie is a bit long and you feel a bit bored at few instances in the movie..But overall, such flaws can be ignored..

Vijay Krishna Acharya is the director this time and not Sanjay Gadhvi..Comparisons would be done but i would say that Vijay has been superb..His direction is a treat to watch..very impressed..

Ritesh Soni is the editor and he should have done a better job..Should have cut down on a couple of unwanted scenes..

Prakash Bharadwaj has written the dialogues and they are quite good..You will also find a few similar dialogues from the previous 2 movies..

Sudeep Chatterjee has become a master of cinematography now..excellent again..i like his style..

There is a bit of a story in the movie and it is an emotional one..you want the villains to win every battle..they are the real heroes of the movie..

Coming to the music, it has been composed by the ever reliable Pritam Da..but to describe the music of Dhoom 3 in one word:- i would say "BAD"..if only had the music been good, the movie would have been all round blockbuster hit..barring Malang sung beautifully by Shilpa Rao, none of the songs are worth hearing..Even there is nothing in the lyrics department to write about..

Coming to the performances, Aamir Khan rules..He is a true master and champion..Mr. Perfection is at his best again..More said the less for him..Finally, a contender for the best actor to Nana Patekar(The Attacks Of 26/11) has arrived.. Abhishek Bachchan is the same as he has always been..no change,no expressions..just the usual self.. Uday Chopra tries his comic act with his sleveless t-shirts and imagining stuff..nothing adorable but he does bring a smile on our faces.. Katrina Kaif has a small role but does well..she mostly has to dance and she dances well..Jackie Shroff disappoints..there is no clarity in his dialogues at all..a very small role but i was hoping for much more from him..

The sets were superb and the crew needs to be commended for it..It felt good watching the movie..beautiful scenes all around..

All in all, Dhoom 3 is a sure shot entertainer..a must watch for the fans of Dhoom series and ofcoarse, for Aamir Khan fans like me..There is a lot of masala, filmy scenes but there is some reality as well..the end is really very good and emotional..you expect it from Aamir though..i would rate it 4/5..
