3 Good

Dabangg 2 was a feel-good popcorn entertainment which had SALMAN KHAN written all over it.

Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan) has been transferred to Kanpur from LalGanj and is happily settled with Rajjo(Sonakshi SInha) along with step- father(Vinod Khanna) and brother(Arbaaz Khan). Things turns Topsy-turvy when he steps into the way of Cheede's singh brother Baccha Singh (Prakash Raj). What follows next is cold war between the two and how they fight for the survival.

First time director , Arbaaz Khan does a decent job in keeping you entertained but falls flat when it comes to story , screenplay and most importantly direction. If you have seen Dabanng , there is bound to be high expectation from this one but you feel little bit disappointed. Uneccessary inclusion of songs , less-impacting climax fight scene will make you gorge for more. Also , the supremely talented Prakash Raj is wasted here. He could have been given more meatier role. The cinematography is excellent. Art direction is eye-catching. Background score relishes with the film. Action scenes are choreographed gallantly. In fact, it is one of the best action movie of 2012. Music by Sajid-Wajid is decent but not great."Pandey Ji" " Fevicol Se" is pick of the lot. Coming to performances, it is Salman Khan who gives in a knock-out performance with his quick-witted one liners, charming attitude , romantic avatar , shows off his well-sculpted torso without inhibitions. If you have adored the character of Chulbul Pandey in Dabanng , you will love him in Dabanng 2. He is simply outstanding. Sonaskshi Sinha is passable. Vinod Khanna surprises you. Arbaaz Khan is just about OK.

Dabanng 2 had potential to make it big but was saddened by weak direction. However, one makes who makes sure you sit right through the film is Salman Khan. He is surely darling of masses. Good 3/5
