‘Its time to be an Idiot’ might be in your mouth just before entering but guyz the cast and the movie is striving towards excellance which means success is inevitable. The frequent change in emotions not only attracts the viewers but also gives a lot of meaning and knowledge for a youngster as well as for an adult. The friendship and love among the Idiots (so called) is just out of the world. My verdict cant be less than 4.5 for the lovely desert for ’09. Guyz Bollywood is a race, yeh movie nahi dekhoge toh peeche reh jaoge.

yet another reason why aamir khan is the TRUE king of mainstream indian cinema in this era, and not the increasingly stale shahrukh khan, who relies solely on PR but has no substance whatsoever to back up all the hype and hoopla he generates around himself. while aamir can perhaps be labelled a 'marketing whore' of sorts, the man's movies have always lived up to the hype- at least since lagaan was released (with the exception of fanaa and mangal pandey). he is a breath of fresh air in the midst of all the akshay kumars and shahrukhs who only seem to be pandering to themselves and to people who enjoy nonsensical drivel passed off as entertainment. 3 idiots is a class apart from all the nonsensical films churned out by people these days, simply because the comedy is so wonderfully clean. in my personal opinion, it even surpasses munnabhai- but then again, it's a matter of choice and inclination. this flick should be a wake up call to all those directors trying to pass off lewd conversations and slapstick crap as great comedy. the beauty of this film also lies in the fact that the core subject, while totally serious and worthy of a television debate, is tackled in a lighthearted manner, thus never leaving you feeling swamped with dreariness- in fact, it's quite the opposite. 3 idiots is a movie for people who want quality along with entertainment. while aamir is being lauded, i cannot help but note that kareena kapoor is extremely lovable in this film; she isn't the girl-next-door type otherwise, but in this movie- she is just like any girl who could be your friend, classmate, acquaintance, or even your secret crush. sharman joshi, madhavan, boman iran, and even the supporting cast of omi (chatur ramalingam) and the fab actor playing millimetre (sorry, but i couldn't find his name) have dished out splendid performances. even the 'fringe' characters of joy lobo and the senior who rags the newbies in the engineering college have been fleshed out beautifully. the songs complement the film and have not been added just to act as a front for showcasing OTT costumes, make up, bikinis and the like. full marks to not just the acting cast and mr. hirani (who has directed, edited, and written the script)- but also the cinematographer, lyricist (swanand kirkire), composer (shantanu moitra)and the entire team who made this movie what it is. do not pay heed to some extremely negative reviews out there. i am someone who has a lot of disdain for hindi cinema for the most part- but movies like this, dev d, gulaal and kaminey give me hope and make me realize there are truly a few gems amongst all the rubble. merry x'mas everyone.

Superb Mind-blowing movie You got to make us Idiots time n again n This Christmas Gift is the best to all the Bollywood fans n after this they can think that ''Aal Izz Welll''in our bollywood after a not-so great year in 2009. Sterling Fantastic performance By Aamir,n Outstanding roles by other cast too esp Boman, Sharman Joshi, Scintillating Supporting Music by Shantanu Moitra AWESOME movie to come in a long-long time. Absolutely flawless, although some cinematic liberties are expected,Very tight screenplay n Brilliant execution in this walk down d memory lane n a flowing story of college life, ''IN BEHTI HAWA'' which everybody whose been 2 college can relate to with appropriate 'Zooby- Doobying'' comic punches. Gripping story which keeps one glued to seats, with thorough entertainment, n some soul-searching too in moments of despair to ''GIVE ME SOME SUNSHINE''. Display of some innovative engineering marvels n d brilliance of our boy next door guy with slightly high IQ was one thing i cud relate to.. The Orange - city director has come a long way ahead of his contemporaries and continues from his simplistic light-hearted appealing fundas from the Munna Bhai series n often touches an emotional cord to wet your eyes at least once if not more. Clearly BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR/ DECADE n Will be the Biggest Grocer of the Year. Really OUTSTANDING MOVIE N AS EXPECTED RECEIVED A DESERVING STANDING OVATION AND A ROUND OF APPLAUSE at the end of the Preview Show on Christmas eve.
