Thalapathy Vijay takes part in the Green India Challenge; thanks Mahesh Babu for the nomination

Thalapathy Vijay is the latest South celebrity to join the Green India Challenge. On Tuesday, Vijay took to Twitter to share pictures from his gardening session at his home in Chennai. He took up the challenge after being nominated by Telugu star Mahesh Babu.

In one of the pictures shared by Vijay, he is seen holding the sapling and posing for the camera. Sharing the pictures, the Tamil superstar wrote, "This is for you @urstrulyMahesh garu. Here’s to a Greener India and Good health. Thank you #StaySafe (sic)."

 

Mahesh Babu responding to Thalapathy's post wrote, “Thanks a lot brother for taking this up Stay safe! (sic)."

 

 

Mahesh Babu recently celebrated his 45th birthday with his family at home. On the occasion of his birthday, he took part in the Green India challenge and posted a video of him planting a sapling. “There couldn't be a better way to celebrate my birthday #GreenIndiaChallenge I pass this on to @tarak9999, @actorvijay & @shrutihaasan. Let the chain continue and transcend boundaries I request all of you to support the cause. One step towards a greener world! (sic),” he wrote.

 

 

The Green India Challenge requires people to plant sapling at their home or any public space to make the country a better place to live in. Several south Indian celebrities including Nagarjuna, Samantha Akkineni, Parvathy and Nazriya Nazim have participated in this challenge.
