Prashanth Neel explains Salaar's dark edge; says, "My hero has to be my biggest villain"

Prashanth Neel confirms and says, “Yes, I drew inspiration from that era for sure, but I also usually tend to write in a way where my hero has to be my biggest villain. I always make that a rule and then start writing. So probably that is how it reflects. At the time being, in both movies, the characters have similarities in that they turn out to be the biggest villains. They have to look like it at least.”

Salaar marks the third collaboration between Prashanth Neel and production house, Hombale Films, after the success of KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2.
