Prabhas – Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD to release on THIS date

Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone has become one of the most awaited films of the year. And while the release date of this magnum opus was still suspenseful, considering that it has been postponed a few times, the makers, we hear have finally locked the date. The sci-fi drama, set against the backdrop of a post-apocalyptic world, is slated to release in summer, on May 9, 2024.

Interestingly, this massive Pan India entertainer has opted for a non-festive weekend for its release date. Going the extra mile, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD executed a grand release date announcement through raiders across multiple cities Pan-India, including Varanasi, Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai, Madurai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Bhimavaram, Kashmir, and Vijayawada. During the event, the raiders marched together, building anticipation and unveiled the scroll in a unique and exciting way, announcing the film’s release date as May 9, 2024.

 

 

The first look of the sci-fi drama was unveiled after much anticipation last year at USA’s Comic Con. The short clip garnered much attention among fans as it provided a deeper insight into the post-apocalyptic world created by Nag Ashwin. The film also boasts of extensive sets which was created to represent a completely different futuristic era filled with heavy weaponry and other equipment, including automobiles. Apart from exploring this fresh pairing of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone on screen, Kalki 2898 AD, which was earlier also referred to as Project K, is also expected to feature an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, Kamal Haasan, along with an ensemble supporting cast. With music being composed by Santosh Narayanan, the makers have also roped in the international cinematographer Djordje Stojiljkovic to handle the work of this sci-fi entertainer.

 

While the film is slated to release in Telugu and Hindi languages, the dubbed versions will be releasing in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and English.
