The Mother: Jennifer Lopez turns ruthless assassin to save her daughter in Netflix’s deadly thriller; watch trailer
On Tuesday, Netflix released the official trailer for The Mother, starring Jennifer Lopez, who pushes the boundaries of a parent’s love for her child. The pulse-pounding action also stars Lucy Paez, Joseph Fiennes, Paul Raci, Omari Hardwick, Gael García Bernal, and Edie Falco in pivotal roles.
“You put her with good people. Keep her safe,” her character says in the trailer as she’s forced to leave her baby daughter. “If there’s trouble, let me know.” Directed by Niki Caro from a screenplay written by Misha Green, Andrea Berloff, and Peter Craig, the action-thriller film’s synopsis reads, “While fleeing from dangerous assailants, an assassin comes out of hiding to protect her daughter she left earlier in life.”
Meanwhile, Lopez – who recently led the critically acclaimed crime drama Hustlers – will next star in Netflix’s sci-fi thriller Atlas opposite lead Shang-Chi actor Simu Liu and This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown. She will also appear in Amazon’s Unstoppable.
