Yodha, presented by Amazon Prime and Dharma Productions, in association with Mentor Disciple Entertainment, is set to release soon and the makers are leaving no stone unturned for its promotions. After the gravity-defying poster launch and the first-ever trailer launch on a flight, the makers have dropped a new video showcasing all the training Sidharth Malhotra underwent for the role.

Sidharth plays the role of Arun Katyal. Talking about the prep, he said, “I lost weight for it, got a different kind of training. It started with a lot of prep to understand what looks good on my body. We trained a lot in hand-to-hand combat with Craig and his team.” Craig Macrae worked on action for War, Pathaan and Jawan.

 

Craig added, “It was new for Sid to be using like knife techniques and close-quarter combat stuff with very confined spaces. He was very easy to teach the choreography and techniques because if you showed him something once, he picked it up just like that.”

 

The film also stars Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani. Directed by the debutant duo of Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, the high-octane action thriller film follows Arun Katyal, the commanding officer of an elite unit, Yodha Task Force, on a thrilling rescue operation. Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan, Yodha is slated for a theatrical release on March 15.
