Sushmita Sen pens heartfelt birthday wish for “First love” Renee; calls her “Destiny”

Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen penned a heartfelt birthday wish for her daughter Renee Sen on Saturday. Renee turned 24 years old on September 4.

"Happpyyyyyy Birthday My First Love!!!," wrote Sushmita on Instagram. "Today my baby turns as old as I was, when I had her!!! I look on with great love & pride as she grows into this incredible person…one I can still hear saying “you are my destiny”. We love you Shona @reneesen47 / Here’s to your happiness always!!! #duggadugga #Alisah #Maa #partytime."

Renee replied to her mother's post and wrote, "Forever my destiny, I love you Maa! Happy 24th to us."

Sushmita and Renee have a close relationship. In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Sushmita said that she adopted Renee when she was 24 years old. She said that her parents were initially not supportive of her decision, but they eventually came around.

Coming to the professional front, Sushmita is currently bagging a positive review for her performance in Taali, a recently released web show on JioCinema. In the show, Sen essays the role of Gauri Sawant, a transgender activist. She has a bunch of projects in her kitty including the third season of her popular web series, Aarya.
