Agastya Nanda, who made his acting debut in The Archies, is now all set to take a significant leap with his theatrical debut in Ikkis, a war drama helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan. On Saturday night, the makers of the film officially announced its release date — October 2, 2025 — coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti. A gripping motion poster was also unveiled, giving audiences a first look at the film’s powerful backdrop.

Following the release date announcement and poster drop, social media was abuzz with support for the young actor. Suhana Khan, who is rumoured to be dating Agastya, showed her support by sharing the motion poster on her Instagram story. She added heart and angel emojis to express her excitement and pride.

 

 

Their close friend Ananya Panday also joined in the celebration. She shared the same poster on her Instagram story with a simple yet heartfelt caption, “Aggy <3”, showing her love and support for Agastya’s big screen debut. The trio, who are often spotted together, seem to be each other's biggest cheerleaders.

 

 

Navya Naveli Nanda, Agastya’s sister, entrepreneur and popular social media star, reposted the motion poster on her Instagram feed with a patriotic and emotional caption: “21 years old. One destiny. Set against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war, Ikkis chronicles the inspiring life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal, a Param Vir Chakra awardee who laid down his life in the line of duty at the young age of 21. Agastya steps into the shoes of the brave soldier in what promises to be an emotionally stirring performance.

 

Directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Maddock Films, Ikkis also features Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat in key roles. The film blends national pride, history, and sacrifice, and aims to honor one of India’s youngest war heroes.
