The actress portrayed the role of Neerja in her biopic and was lauded for her gripping and moving performance. The model-air hostess sacrificed her life while saving the lives of many during a plane hijack. Becoming one of the most known names after her story was made into a biopic, Neerja Bhanot, in no time, became an idol.
