Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan to reunite again after Happy New Year?

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is currently gearing up for Jawan and Dunki. Amidst this, it has been reposted that the actor and filmmaker might reunite for a project. Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan have a strong bond, both personally and professionally. They have collaborated on successful films such as Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Happy New Year, showcasing their talent and captivating audiences. It has been a long wait for fans since their last film, Happy New Year, released in 2014. However, the latest report suggests that the duo is finally ready to reunite after a hiatus of nine years.

Mid-day has reported that Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan are contemplating a collaboration after a considerable gap. The project is said to be in the initial phases of discussion. However, there is an interesting twist this time around. Instead of their previous actor-director equation, they are considering joining forces as a producer and director. Farah is anticipated to helm a masala film, with Shah Rukh Khan potentially backing the project. A source told the portal, “Earlier, a studio was going to back it, and the idea of SRK headlining it was also being discussed. But now, there’s been a shift in the storyline that requires a different range of actors to do the movie.”

 

Presently, Red Chillies is actively preparing for Atlee's upcoming film Jawan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan. Simultaneously, they are also occupied with the production of Aryan Khan's debut web series. The report disclosed that a “preliminary agreement has settled between Farah and the production house.” The source further added, “If all goes well, it will be announced later in the year and could kick off the shoot by the (end of) 2023.”

 

Apart from this, the actor made his comeback on the big screens with Pathaan, which was released earlier this year. The Siddharth Anand directorial, backed by YRF, also featured Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The film went on to break several records.

 

He will be next seen in Jawan. Helmed by Atlee Kumar, the upcoming pan-India flick will be released on September 7. Besides Khan, it will star Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. Along with this, he also has an upcoming Rajkumar Hirani directorial, titled Dunki, in his kitty. Taapsee Pannu will be seen playing the female lead in it.
