Randeep Hooda to play Gigolo in Mayanagri

It was Tere Naam that got Satish Kaushik the much needed critical acclaim and to top it up, it is still considered to be one of Salman Khan's best onscreen portrayals. It's always a challenge for any director to go beyond his best work but it looks like Satish Kaushik has found the right script, the right actors and the right vision.
Randeep Hooda to play Gigolo in Mayanagri

 

Set in the 1980's Mumbai, Satish Kaushik's next biggie is titled Mayanagri. A story about two ordinary men, from Mathura and Delhi, who set out to achieve their dreams in the pulsating and dramatic city of Mumbai.

 

Satish Kaushik quotes, "Yes, my next movie is titled Mayanagri and it is a gritty, shocking and a real drama of two men who dare to dream big in Mumbai. The story is set in the mid eighties. For me, Mayanagri is the integral character because it's her story. The story of India's dreamland - Mumbai."

 

Satish informs that Mayanagri is a never before heard story of a Gigolo and a Gangster. Now you may be wondering which actor would give his nod to play a Gigolo. Well, this one's a shocker!

 

Satish reveals, "Randeep Hooda is signed to play the Gigolo in Mayanagri and his love interest in the movie is played by Mahie Gill. Together they are explosive on screen and we have seen that in the past."

 

There's more! Mayanagri is an adaptation of a book titled 'Do Murdo Ke Liye Guldasta' written by Surendra Varma, for which the director had taken the rights way back in 1990s. We've also heard that the movie is high on dialogues and our source also informed us about the hint of humour there is in Mayanagri.

 

Kaushik says, "I've never worked hard for any movie as I have for Mayanagri. I'm on it since a year and a half and I am proud to say that this is my most ambitious project ever."

 

As for Randeep, this will be a role of a lifetime for him and we are sure this is one Gigolo who won't disappoint. The question is - Who will play the Gangster in Mayanagri? Well, the hunt is on.
