It has been 25 years since Raj and Simran took the Euro trip, 25 years since Raj went to India to win over Simran's family and 25 years since Baldev Singh said ‘Jaa Simran Jaa, jee le apni zindagi’. Aditya Chopra's Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge that was released in 1995 created history by redefining romance in Bollywood and setting a benchmark for films to follow.

As the film completes 25 years, actress Kajol who played the role of Simran took to her Instagram handle and shared glimpses from two of the most popular songs of the film. Along with the clip she wrote, "Raj & Simran!2 names, 1 film, 25 years and the love doesn't stop coming in!I am truly grateful to all the people who made it what it is today.. a phenomenon and a part of their own history. The fans! Big shoutout to all of you". She also shared several other clips spekaing about her journey.
