A.R. Rahman and Shiamak Davar reunite for The Wonderment Tour’s global premiere in Mumbai

AR Rahman and Shiamak Davar will share the stage once again as the globally renowned composer and celebrated choreographer come together for the Mumbai leg of The Wonderment Tour. The global premiere of the tour is set for May 3 at DY Patil Stadium and is being held as part of the WAVES Summit from May 1 - 4, 2025.

This event marks a return to collaboration between Rahman and Davar, who have previously worked on projects like Taal and Kisna. Their latest joint effort is expected to combine live music performances with large-scale choreography in a concert setting. The event has been conceptualized by AR Rahman in collaboration with Percept Live, and co-produced by Percept Live, Fair Game, and Jo Entertainment.

 

Speaking about the collaboration, Rahman said, “Our journey together on Taal and Kisna was an unforgettable one, and I have no doubt that in ‘The Wonderment Tour’ he will create something truly magical. The Wonderment Tour is in every sense a celebration of music, dance, and the magic that happens when two art forms come together to create something extraordinary and who better than Shiamak for this.”

 

The Mumbai performance is part of a broader series of global concerts under The Wonderment Tour banner. The event is expected to feature Rahman’s well-known compositions and live collaborations with other singers and musicians, supported by dance sequences choreographed by Davar.

 

Commenting on the upcoming show, Shiamak Davar said, “Working with Rahman is always a true pleasure.
