When Preity Zinta decided to take her husband’s name after Sonam Kapoor Ahuja

Sonam K Ahuja has of late been in news, post her much talked about wedding, for taking on her husband’s name. In turn, her businessman-husband Anand Ahuja too has taken on Sonam’s name and refers to himself as Anand S Ahuja. While initially Sonam was trolled for taking her husband’s name with trolls calling her anti-feminist, the actress seem to have set a trend amongst other married women in Bollywood. One amongst them who got inspired is Preity Zinta.

For the uninitiated, Preity Zinta married way back in 2016 to financial analyst Gene Goodenough. And it was not until recently, that Preity decided to use her hubby’s name on her social media profiles. The actress has officially decided to take on his surname as a part of her name and refers to herself as Preity G Zinta and here’s the proof.

 

 

 

On the other hand, when she was asked about her name change on one of the social media platforms, the actress replied to the same stating that she has decided to take one Gene’s name. Her post read:

 

 

If reports are to be believed, numerologist Sanjay Jumnani thinks that the addition of G brings a lot of positivity. The famous celebrity numerologist, who has advised many Bollywood celebrities about name and surname changes, believes that G stands for Good Luck or God Bless. Well, that is definitely a great sign for Preity, who seems to be quite thrilled with her decision.

 

On the work front, Preity Zinta is expected to be next seen in Bhaiaji Superhit. The film has been in the backburner for long. It is expected to feature her alongside Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. Directed by Neeraj Pathak, the film is expected to release on September 14.
