“Please upload that video”: Manish Malhotra shares how Sid–Kiara’s wedding clip finally went public

Fashion designer Manish Malhotra recently shared how the widely circulated wedding video of actors Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani eventually made its way to social media, revealing that he encouraged the couple to share the clip with fans.

During a recent appearance on The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra, Malhotra reflected on his involvement in the couple’s 2023 wedding celebrations. The designer, who was closely associated with the event and created outfits for the ceremony, said the now-viral video might never have been posted publicly if he had not suggested the idea. Recalling the moment, Malhotra said he felt the footage captured the joy of the occasion and deserved to be shared more widely. “I told them, ‘Please upload that video and share it.’ It was such a beautiful moment and I felt people should see it,” he said, explaining how the couple eventually decided to post the clip online.

 

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani married on February 7, 2023, in a private ceremony held at Suryagarh Palace. The celebration was attended by close family members and friends from the film industry. When the couple shared their first wedding photographs on social media, the posts quickly gained significant attention online. The two actors first worked together in the war drama Shershaah (2021), a film based on the life of Vikram Batra, which contributed to their on-screen popularity as a pair. Since their wedding, the couple has continued to draw public interest, with fans closely following updates about their personal and professional lives.

 

Malhotra also noted that preparations for the ceremony involved several detailed discussions about styling and presentation. According to him, multiple meetings took place ahead of the wedding to plan outfits and other visual elements of the event.
