Olympics medallist Mirabai Chanu, to appear on the 75th Independence Day edition of Dance Deewane

As India prepares to celebrate its 75th Independence Day, Dance Deewane will present a series of spectacular performances in the presence of some of the country's most illustrious figures. One of them is Mirabai Chanu, a brilliant athlete who recently made us all proud with her victory at the Tokyo Olympics.

As part of the Independence Day celebrations, weightlifting champion Mirabai Chanu will appear on Dance Deewane in the presence of judges Madhuri Dixit, Tushar Kalia, Dharmesh Yelande, and hosts Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa. As they progress in their trip, the candidates will exhibit their best performances in a joyful mood.

 

Aside from Mirabai, the episode will feature eminent sports personalities such as Kapil Dev, a former all-rounder cricketer, Mohinder Amarnath, a former first-class cricketer, Bhavani Devi, the first Indian Sabre fencer to qualify for the Olympics, and wrestler Priya Malik, who recently won a gold medal at the World Cadet Championships in Hungary.

 

Chanu's silver medal in the Women's 49kg category had kicked off India's medal tally at the Tokyo Olympics. After a fantastic performance in the present Tokyo Games, the Indian weightlifter was greeted with a resounding welcome in Imphal when she returned to her home state of Manipur last week.
