"I couldn't be an outsider with Vinay and Ranvir" - Tusshar Kapoor

 

Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey and Shashant Shah are a team. After all, they have worked together extensively during the days of TV show 'The Great Indian Comedy Show'. The association continued when Shashant roped in Vinay for his debut flick Dasvidaniya followed by Challo Dilli. While he is now creating a hat trick of films with Vinay in the form of Bajatey Raho, the newest entrant is Tusshar Kapoor.

Admits Tusshar, "Since Vinay and Ranvir have worked with Shashant in the past, they have certain chemistry between them. The challenge was for me to become a part of them. I couldn't look like an outsider and hard to warm up while working with them. I took an extra step to become pals with them. It was a matter of time before those little teething problems went away."

 

 

Shashant too had a major hand in ensuring that Tusshar mixed up well with his favourites Vinay and Ranvir, hence ensuring that there was a good enough camaraderie being built.

 

 

"Yes, Shashant insisted that we all hang out together. This way, we could build on the kind of chemistry that was pretty much required on screen," says Tusshar, "So we used to meet at the gym after pack up since we were shooting till late nights. Later when we used to get some off time, we even went out and explored Delhi."

 

 

Today he is happy that after spending some good time with Vinay, Ranvir and Shashant, there are some new associations that he has ended up building.

 

 

"Yeah, these are very different from the other people that I have worked with. They are very non-filmy and don't throw any attitude at all. Of course when you see them at work, you find them in this competitive space which is very healthy. However, they are very honest and ensure that there is positive atmosphere at work," he continues.

 

 

What further helped build a friendly environment was the presence of producer Krishika Lulla on the sets and locations for many days during the film's shoot.

 

 

"What I really like about Krishika is the fact that she is a very passionate filmmaker. She comes with some good experience of being with a production house and has a terrific script sense. Just look at Raanjhanaa; it is commendable that she backed it up to the hilt. As for Bajatey Raho, I was very clear that this film had to be made by a good corporate house. I am glad that everything fell in place," smiles Tusshar before signing off.
