Here’s how Tere Ishk Mein is all set to continue the intense musical romance in 2025
The post-pandemic period saw the emergence of larger-than-life action spectacles and the trend kept going for quite a bit with a number of films from this genre achieving success. However, 2025 has been different. This year has seen the revival of the romantic genre. And by romance, we don’t mean the usual run-of-the-mill stuff. Instead, passion and heartbreak are the emotions that have touched the audience this year. First it was Saiyaara, this was followed up with Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat and now, the genre is all set to go ahead with Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein.
Here’s how Tere Ishk Mein is all set to continue the intense musical romance in 2025
As Tere Ishk Mein nears release, it feels like the culmination of a year-long cinematic love affair - especially since the film is backed by giants like T-Series and Colour Yellow Productions along with music by AR Rahman music.
In fact, it is the music that has played a vital role in the success of the two films mentioned above and has built the anticipation for Tere Ishk Mein. Among the songs released from the film, ‘Usey Kehna’, which dropped recently, has impressed the audience tremendously.
Some heartbreaks demand silence. Others deserve a song and ‘Usey Kehna’ from Tere Ishk Mein is exactly that kind. Composed by AR Rahman, written by Irshad Kamil, and sung with aching depth by Nitesh Aher and Jonita Gandhi, the track doesn’t dramatize heartbreak; it humanizes it. It’s that quiet acceptance of pain, the kind you can feel whether you’re parked in a BMW or a Santro.
There’s a wry truth tucked beneath the emotion. We all say heartbreak doesn’t discriminate, but a little comfort doesn’t hurt when you’re nursing one. That’s what makes ‘Usey Kehna’ hit home; it’s aware of both worlds. The ones who drown their heartbreak in luxury, and the ones who simply sit with it. Either way, Rahman’s melody becomes the great equalizer timeless, honest, and beautifully cruel.
Coming back to the romance filled 2025, veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh said exclusively that the stage looks set for Tere Ishk Mein. “After Saiyaara and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat turned youthful passion into a box office triumph, the stage is now ready for Tere Ishk Mein, the next big love saga audiences are waiting for with bated breath. Backed by powerhouses T-Series and Colour Yellow, and infused with the soul-stirring magic of A.R. Rahman’s music, the film promises to do good business at the box office. With the nation already swept up in a wave of romance and the Tere Ishk Mein storm gathering momentum, one thing’s certain: 2025 belongs to love stories,” he said.
Backed by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and brought to life under Aanand L. Rai’s vision, Tere Ishk Mein is all set to release in cinemas on November 28 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
