Yash and Radhika Pandit
Yash gave audiences one of the most heartwarming moments at the Bengaluru international trailer launch of Ramayana: Part One on October 17, 2026, when he proudly referred to himself as 'Radhikapati', acknowledging his wife Radhika Pandit.
While speaking about the different characters he has portrayed, including Ravana, Rocky and Raja Huli, Yash pointed towards Radhika, who was present at the event, and said, "And our Sita is right here, Radhika!"
He then made a playful observation about how surnames are traditionally passed on to women after marriage, drawing a comparison with the term 'Sitapati'. He said, "Nowadays we put our surnames on women, but in that era it was the reverse—Sitapati! Isn't it? Just like that, I am Radhikapati!"
The statement was an important acknowledgement of Radhika's role in giving him the confidence to explore different characters and take creative risks. For a superstar who has built a massive following through his work, proudly calling himself his wife's husband was a moment that resonated beyond the event.
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan
One of the most prominent examples is Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who has never hesitated to acknowledge the women who have contributed to his success, especially his wife Gauri Khan. During a conversation with journalist Prabhu Chawla on Aaj Tak's Seedhi Baat, Shah Rukh was asked whether there was a woman behind his success. The interview, originally published in India Today's February 13, 2006 issue, saw the superstar respond, "It is only women who are behind my success. My mother, sister, wife and, lastly, all my heroines. I am a very simple actor and these women helped me in my success."
In the same conversation, when asked about Gauri's role in his life, he acknowledged her contribution to keeping their children grounded despite their privileged upbringing. He said, "Gauri treats her children just like a middle-class mother. I want to bring up my children with style. But she keeps their feet firmly on the ground."
His words reflect an understanding that success is not limited to what happens professionally, but also depends on the people who help maintain balance behind the scenes.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone
Ranveer Singh has consistently been vocal about his admiration for his wife Deepika Padukone and has never missed an opportunity to celebrate her achievements. In fact, he has often credited her for bringing positivity, balance and a new perspective into his life. One of his most endearing expressions of love has been calling Deepika the 'Ghar Ki Lakshmi'.
At the Mumbai song launch of ‘Firecracker’ song from his film Jayeshbhai Jordaar on April 25, 2022, Ranveer spoke about how lucky he felt to have Deepika in his life. He said, "Lucky toh main hoon, kyunki mere ghar mein Lakshmi hai. Jab se meri life mein aayi hai, jo patri pakadi hai maine. 2012 so it's 10 years of me and my baby."
The actor has also openly celebrated Deepika's achievements. When she launched her personal website in April 2021, Ranveer penned a heartfelt testimonial for her, calling himself "the proudest husband in the world". Praising her as one of the finest actors in the world, he wrote, "She inspires me to be the best man I can possibly be. She makes my life worth living. She is truly the light of my life."
In another interview, Ranveer spoke about how Deepika helped him strike a balance between his personal and professional life, something he admits he struggled with earlier. He acknowledged that her presence helped him appreciate life beyond his work and become more mindful of how he spent his time.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma
Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli has often spoken about how his wife Anushka Sharma has influenced him, not just as a person but also in his approach towards his professional responsibilities.
During a conversation with teammate Mayank Agarwal for the BCCI's Open Nets with Mayank, released on July 28, 2020, Virat spoke about how Anushka helped him see different perspectives and change his outlook towards life. He said, "I give her full credit for making me see different sides of things altogether and I am so grateful that she is my life partner. Because you learn from each other."
Speaking about how she helped him understand the larger picture of his responsibilities as a cricketer and as someone who influences millions of people, he added, "She made me realise a lot of things that are to do with the larger picture. My responsibility as a player, with who I am today and what that brings along with it. Setting an example for people in the right manner, the realisation of all these things has come from being with Anushka. I will always give her full credit for that."
He further described finding a life partner like Anushka as "an absolute blessing" and acknowledged that being with her had changed him for the better.
