EXCLUSIVE: 36 Farmhouse director Subhash Ghai claims he knew Sanjay Dutt was innocent; says “I knew Sanjay was innocent when he was arrested”

Subhash Ghai made his directorial comeback with OTT film 36 Farmhouse. The film maker recently talked about Sanjay Dutt at the time they were shooting Khalnayak.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ghai said, “I have known Sanjay Dutt ever since he was a kid. His second film ‘Vidhaata’ I directed. Then after 10 years, I took him in ‘Khalnayak’. I knew him really closely. When he was arrested I knew he was innocent but was trapped.” Adding, “He was not a criminal.”

 

 

He also talked about why he decided to release it on OTT. He shared his thoughts on OTT revolution. He further explains how the grammar of film business has changed post OTT revolution and about promotions of his films and reveals that he didn't spend a penny for the promotion of his film Khalnayak. He also talked about Sanjay Dutt's arrest and says that he knew he was innocent. He also shares his thoughts on legends like A.R.Rahman. Hariharan. Laxmikant-Pyarelaal, Mohd.Rafi saab etc.
