Drishyam 2 trailer launch: Ajay Devgn and Tabu get emotional remembering late Drishyam director Nishikant Kamat - : "Without him, this wasn't possible"

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn took to social media on Monday to unveil the much-awaited trailer of Drishyam 2. Starring Tabu, Shriya Saran, Akshaye Khanna, and Ishita Dutta, the trailer launch took place on Monday, October 17 in Goa, as the film has the location as central plot.

During the press conference for the film post trailer launch, lead actors Ajay Devgn and Tabu got emotional as they remembered late Drishyam director Nishikant Kamat. “I want to just take this occasion to remember Nishi, who directed the first part,” Ajay Devgn said. “Without him, this wasn't possible.”

 

Tabu said, “I want to remember Nishi and how easy he made the whole experience of the first part.” When asked about Nishikant's legacy, Ajay said, “However much I talk about Nishi, it won't be enough. We all miss him. If he was here, we would have all been very happy. But the show must go on.”

 

Nishikant suffered from cirrhosis, to which he succumbed in August 2020 at the age of 50. The late filmmaker directed the first installment of the film. The directing duties were then taken over by Abhishek Pathak.

 

Viacom18 Studios Presents Gulshan Kumar, T-Series and Panorama Studios present, Drishyam 2 produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. The original score and music is by Rockstar DSP (Devi Sri Prasad). Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 2 is set to release theatrically on 18th November 2022.
