Citadel Vs Quantico: Priyanka Chopra Jonas reveals how her characters are different; says, “I don’t think there is much similarity because the worlds are very different”

Citadel, an upcoming international spy series on Prime Video, started its journey with Mumbai for its grand Asia Pacific tour. Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who plays the series' leading roles, sat down for the press conference of the show. Priyanka opened up on how her character in Citadel was different from Quantico as they both had great action sequences in it.

Priyanka Chopra is no stranger to action as she had done action sequences in her 2015 series Quantico. When asked how Priyanka’s character in Citadel is different from that of Quantico, she replied, “Completely different characters, completely different jobs. Yes, we both hit people and maybe get mad a little bit and get angry but I don’t think there is much similarity because the worlds are very different.”

 

Talking about her character I Citadel, she added, “I think that I have deliberately tried to make Nadia (Priyanka’s character name in Citadel) very differently from characters that I have played prior. She has a quiet confidence about her. She doesn’t need to showcase her badassery. It just comes naturally to her. So, even like scenes and stuff, everything that I did comes from a place of internalization. So, I hope you can see the differences of the character plus the world is completely different. Priyanka Chopra Jonas was accompanied by Richard Madden at press event. Speaking of Citadel, the web series will be out on Amazon Prime Video on April 28 and is a story of two spies on a globe trotting mission. The Russo Brothers - Anthony and Joe Russo - of The Avengers fame are also a part of the show as executive producers. The makers plan to make it into a global franchise and even have local instalments in several countries. An Indian version of the show is currently in production. It stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu and is helmed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, of The Family Man and Farzi fame.
