Earlier we had reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next venture, Rani Padmavati featuring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor would be going on floors in November. Tweeting about the same, Shoibha Sant, CEO of Bhansali films tweeted a picture saying, “#bigmoment #SanjayLeelaBhansali #Padmavati #ShootCommences at #FilmCity with @RanveerOfficial. ThankU every1 for the #GoodWishes”.

 

 

A little later, Sarita Patil, Head Content/ Production at Viacom 18 Motion Pictures added an image of SanjayLeela Bhansali and Ajit Andhare, Chief at Viacom 18 saying, “On the sets of Padmavati .. The BIG two :))”. Responding to the tweet Andhare tweeted, “So we begin to make history today!”

 

As for the film, Rani Padmavati which is said to be a historical drama based on the obsession of Alauddin Khilji over Rani Padmavati. Directed by Bhansali himself, the Rs. 170 crore film is expected to release on November 17, 2017.
