It's a wrap for Shahid Kapoor and Ali Abbas Zafar as the filmmaker has confirmed that they have completed the shoot for their upcoming action movie.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, Ali Abbas Zafar thanked Shahid Kapoor and the entire team of the untitled movie. He tweeted, “Action has always been one of my Favourite genres and the thrill of making action movies on set is even a greater experience. Film Wrap, Thank you @shahidkapoor, and entire team for making these last 6 months super fun."

 

 

 

According to our highly placed trade sources, Shahid Kapoor has upped his acting fees yet again. The talented actor, riding high on the success of Padmaavat and Kabir Singh is expecting big gains from Jersey too, and for the film that’s a follow up to Jersey, has charged 25% more. “Shahid Kapoor has come on board this action-packed thriller directed by Ali Abbas Zafar for a massive sum of Rs. 38 crores. This is around 25% more than Jersey and more than twice of what he had fetched for the game changer, Kabir Singh. He is in-fact, adopting the route of letting his work talk for his worth,” the trade source informed Bollywood Hungama.

 

“Every success would mean acting fees going up, and every failure would mean the acting fees coming down. It’s a dynamic pricing strategy that he has designed, and at this point of time, he is confident for both Jersey and Ali Abbas Zafar’s next to fetch big returns at the box office. If the film succeeds, his asking price for the one after that would increase even further,” the source told us.

 

The source informed Bollywood Hungama, "As of now, Ali and the team is calling it Bloody Daddy. The action saga has Shahid playing a father who tries to save his child and involves a lot of blood and gore, so the title suits the film. It's a tentative working title but in all probabilities, this would be the title they lock."

 

It was earlier reported by a tabloid that the film that the two are collaborating on is the Hindi adaptation of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche. The report also suggested that the two will start the shoot with an action sequence. The film is said to have Shahid playing the role of a cop who is chasing drug lords across the city.

 

Nuit Blanche has been remade in Tamil and Telugu with Kamal Haasan under the titles Thoongaa Vanam and Cheekati Rajyam, respectively.

 

Currently, Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Jersey. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film was originally made in Telugu. The Hindi version also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur.
