Akshay Kumar is coming up with his next outing, Pad Man, produced by wifey Twinkle Khanna and director by R. Balki starring Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles. Now, the film deals with a very pertinent topic: menstrual hygiene in rural areas. The script of the movie is based on a real life story of Arunachalam Muruganantham who is a feminist idol we desperately need as he single handedly started a revolution, making affordable sanitary napkins available in rural South India.

For promoting this unconventional movie, Akshay Kumar and the team started a social media challenge involving all the A-listers of the industry, enlisting them in the noble cause. The challenge involved them posing with a sanitary napkin, thus promoting awareness around menstruation.
