Adivi Sesh calls Dacoit car chases an adrenaline rush, performs high-speed sequences himself

Actor Adivi Sesh is stepping into an action-heavy space with his upcoming film Dacoit, where he has taken on physically demanding sequences, including high-speed car chases. The actor recently shared insights into the filming process, highlighting the precision and control required for such scenes.

According to Sesh, the film features multiple chase sequences that rely on accurate driving and tight coordination. Instead of depending extensively on stunt doubles, he chose to perform several of these scenes himself to maintain realism on screen. Some of these sequences involved drifting cars with professional stunt equipment, adding to the complexity of the shoot.

 

Speaking about the experience, Sesh said, “Dacoit has some extremely intense car chase sequences, and many of them were filmed with me actually driving the car. Drifting with professional gear is not something you get to do every day, and honestly, it gives you a massive adrenaline rush. When you’re inside the car, surrounded by cameras, stunt coordinators, and a very tightly planned setup, you realize how much precision is required to get it right.”

 

He also pointed out the limited scope for retakes in such sequences due to their technical nature. “These are the kinds of action sequences where you can’t really afford too many retakes because every movement, every skid, every turn has been carefully designed,” he added.

 

Reflecting on his approach, Sesh noted, “For me, the excitement comes from pushing myself to perform the shot as perfectly as possible. I remember telling myself before some of these sequences that this has to happen in a single take. It’s thrilling but also deeply satisfying when you pull it off.”

 

Dacoit is positioned as a large-scale action project, with a focus on grounded, realistic execution, and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 10, 2026.
