Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal, Malaika Arora, and others review Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani; shower love on Karan Johar

Cross-cultural love stories have always been a popular topic in Indian cinema and adding a tad bit of glitz and glamor to it is Karan Johar as he gears up to present his next directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Ever since its announcement, it has been highly anticipated as it brings back the chemistry of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt after Gully Boy in 2019. While the film is slated for release later this week, on July 28, the Bollywood gang managed to catch a preview of the movie and they have taken to share their review about the film.

Vicky Kaushal, who often reviews several Bollywood films, penned a heartfelt note on Instagram about Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani as he said, “Loved every bit of it. Hardcore big screen family entertainer! Take your loved ones... don't miss it! @karanjohar you are a true master! Tremendous tremendous performances by @aliaabhatt @ranveersingh and what joy to watch the veterans #@aapkadharam #JayaBachchan @azmishabana18 on Screen! Big shout out to the entire ensemble and writers! #RRKPK”.

 

 

Abhishek Bachchan too shared a long post about the film saying, “#rockyaurranikipremkahani is so much fun!!! Total and complete family entertainer. So proud of my brother @karanjohar he's back to doing what he does best! Family entertainment. Go one, go all this Friday with your families and watch. The entire cast is wonderful. Congratulations!!! @aliaabhatt @ranveersingh @aapkadharam @azmishabanai8 #jayabachchan and all the rest of the beautiful cast and crew.”

 

Malaika Arora couldn’t stop appreciating her friend as she added, “The man of the moment n very season... emotion, laughs, pyaar, dance, entertainment, drama... rocky n Rani has it all... .. Love you @karanjohar”.

 

 

Her former sister-in-law Seema Sajdeh and the latter’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives co-star Maheep Kapoor too reviewed the film. Readers would recall that the two of them along with their reality show stars Neelam Kothari and Bhavana Pandey had visited the sets of the film which also aired in the final episode of Season 2 of their Netflix reality show. Seema wrote, “You can't watch this just once to fully absorb the magic of Rocky Rani and Karan (heart-eye emoji) Doesn't get better than this ! Congratulations @karanjohar @apoorva1972 @aliaabhatt @ranveersingh”. Whereas, on the other hand, Maheep Kapoor added “@apoorva1972 Outstanding! @karanjohar (crown, heart emoji) film”.

 

 

Among them was also Neetu Kapoor who reviewed the film saying, “A complete entertainer with amazing performances by all the actors (star emojis).” She also complimented her daughter-in-law saying, “@aliaabhatt shinessss looks gorgeous <3<3(feeling loved emoji)”.

 

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani features Ranveer Singh in the role of Rocky Randhawa and Alia Bhatt as Rani Chatterjee as they try to bring together their warring families, completely different from each other to accept their partners. Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan essay the role of Ranveer’s grandparents whereas Shabana Azmi plays Alia’s grandmother in the love story. The film also marks the return of Karan Johar as a director after seven years and is slated for release this Friday.
