Srikanth Box Office: Rajkummar Rao starrer continues its good run on second Friday too

After opening at Rs. 2.41 crores on Friday, Srikanth has seen a good hold on the second Friday too with Rs. 1.67 crores more coming in. That’s how the trajectory of mid-budgeted content movies work out; they have a good Friday to Friday hold and then keep running on and on.

Agreed that it hasn’t been a breakout scenario for Srikanth because if that would have been the case, then the collections would have remained around Rs. 2 crores on each of the weekdays too. However, the good part is that they still didn’t get into that Rs. 1.25 crores zone by close of week and collections were rather stable over Rs. 1.40 crores mark. Now with the second Friday being higher than Thursday gone by, you know that there would be a Saturday jump all over again with good consolidation on Sunday.

 

In the evening, the film would be challenged by a crucial CSK vs RCB match which is basically a knockout event. However, if the Rajkummar Rao starrer still manages to entice audiences and actually grows well to get into that Rs. 3 crores range, then that would be a testimony to the kind of well-made film that director Tushar Hiranandani has come up with. Currently, the film stands at Rs. 19.71 crores and is targeting a lifetime in the vicinity of Rs. 40 crores.
