Box Office - Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar stays over Rs 10 crores mark on Thursday

It was a decent hold for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar on its second day as Rs 10.34 crores came in. A day after a holiday always sees a dip, though in this case it was a partial holiday so one expected the drop in the range of 20%. Nonetheless, the good part is that the film still managed to stay over the Rs 10 crores mark and that’s always a positive sign.

It would be interesting to see how things turn out to be today since it can be Rs 1-2 crores in either side of the Thursday score. There can be a usual 10% drop but then since it’s also the start of the weekend and the word of mouth is generally positive, it can increase by a bit as well. What’s sure though is that either ways, there won’t be much change in the numbers since the balancing factor has come in Thursday itself.

 

So far, the film has collected Rs 26.07 crores and while it would be in Rs 36-38 crores range by the time the first three days are through, the real game would be on Saturday and Sunday when the collections would start soaring again. Will it be a really big jump or the usual 20%-30% one is something that would be observed quite closely. That would also set the tone for how well does the Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer manage to gain a hold during the weekdays, as that would decide the eventual lifetime that the film is headed towards.
