Box Office: October has a Rs. 20.25 crore weekend
Shoojit Sircar's October had a low weekend as Rs. 20.25 crore came in. Agreed that this wasn't the kind of film which could have gathered Rs. 30-40 crore in its first three days. Still, at least Rs. 25 crore were expected at the minimum and with that not been the case either, it makes the weekdays quite crucial.
The collections need to be at least around Rs. 3.50-4 crore on Monday so that Rs. 13-14 crore more come in before the end of first week. That would at least give it a chance to score in the 40s at least in the final run.
This is now the lowest weekend grosser for Shoojit Sircar in a really long time since Piku [Rs. 25.22 crore] as well as Madras Cafe [Rs. 21.01 crore] had scored much better. As a matter of fact his production Pink too had shown remarkable progress, hence allowing a weekend of Rs. 21.50 crore.
